Why Learners Choose Power BI Classes in Ahmedabad's CG Road Area
CG Road sits between Navrangpura, Ellisbridge, Paldi and Ashram Road, so it is a practical meeting point for learners from across the old and new city. Students from Gujarat University, LD Engineering and colleges around Navrangpura can come straight after lectures. Working professionals from offices on Ashram Road, Income Tax and Stadium Road can reach us in the evening without fighting SG Highway traffic.
There is also a simple learning reason to choose a classroom. Power BI looks easy until your data model has the wrong relationships or a DAX measure returns blanks. In a classroom, the trainer walks over, looks at your screen and fixes the problem with you. That moment of seeing why something broke is where most learning happens, and it is hard to recreate alone with a video.
What We Teach in Our Power BI Classes CG Road Batches
Our Power BI classes CG Road learners attend are taught as part of the six-month Data Analytics Masters Program. The Power BI section covers:
- Foundations: Power BI Desktop and Service, how reports, dashboards and datasets connect.
- Data connection and loading: Excel, CSV and SQL databases.
- Power Query: cleaning, reshaping, merging and appending data.
- Data modelling: star schemas, relationships and cardinality.
- DAX: measures, CALCULATE, filter context and time intelligence.
- Visualisation: choosing charts, slicers, drill-throughs and page design.
- Filters and interactivity: bookmarks, drill-downs and tooltips.
- Advanced features: publishing, scheduled refresh and row-level security.
Every topic ends with practice on real datasets, and the section ends with dashboard projects you can add to your portfolio. Because Power BI sits inside a full programme, you also learn the skills around it that employers test: Excel, SQL, statistics, Tableau and Python.
The Wider Data Analytics Course in Navrangpura
Many people who walk in asking about Power BI leave with a bigger plan. If your goal is a new job rather than faster reports, our data analytics course in Navrangpura takes you through:
| Stage | What you learn |
|---|---|

| Spreadsheets | Advanced Excel, Power Query, dashboards |
| Databases | MySQL from basics to joins, subqueries and stored procedures |
| BI tools | Power BI with DAX, Tableau with LOD expressions |
| Programming | Python with Pandas |
| Beyond analytics | Machine learning basics, web scraping, AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini |
The programme runs for six months with live classes, over 100 practice assignments and a project at the end of each section. Career support begins once you have completed 80% of the course and continues for six months after you finish.
Who Attends Our Evening Batches at CG Road
A typical evening batch at CG Road mixes three groups:
Freshers from B.Com, BBA, BCA and engineering colleges nearby, looking for their first analyst or MIS role.
Working professionals in accounts, sales, operations and HR from offices around Navrangpura, Ashram Road and Ellisbridge who want to automate reports and move up.
Small business owners from the textile and trading markets of the old city who want a clear view of sales and stock.
Mixing these groups works well. Freshers learn how data is used in real offices, and professionals pick up techniques from people who approach problems differently.
What You Can Build After a Month of Classes
People often ask what they will actually be able to do after the first few weeks. Here is a realistic picture from our CG Road batches.
By the end of the first month of Power BI, most learners can take a raw Excel export, clean it in Power Query, build a simple data model and publish a two-page report. A common first project is a sales dashboard for a small trading business in the Relief Road or Ashram Road markets: monthly revenue, top customers, slow-moving products and outstanding payments, all filterable by month and salesperson.
By the end of the section, learners are writing DAX measures for year-to-date sales and growth, setting up scheduled refresh and adding row-level security so each branch manager only sees their own numbers. That is the level most employers in Navrangpura and across the city expect from a junior analyst or MIS executive.
The difference between Power BI classes in Ahmedabad that work and ones that do not usually comes down to practice time. We keep a large share of every session for hands-on work, with the trainer moving between desks, because watching someone else build a dashboard is not the same as building one yourself.
Power BI Classes in Ahmedabad Compared With Self-Study
You can learn Power BI for free using Microsoft Learn and YouTube, and some people do. It works best if you are disciplined, already comfortable with Excel and have a real dataset at work to practise on.
Most people who come to us at CG Road have tried self-study first. The common problems they mention are getting stuck on DAX with nobody to ask, not knowing what "good" looks like, and losing momentum after a couple of weeks. A live class fixes all three: a trainer answers questions on the spot, you see examples of strong dashboards, and a fixed timetable keeps you going. If you are weighing self-study against Power BI classes in Ahmedabad, try a free demo session first and see which suits you.
Batch Timings and Format
We run live batches at our CG Road centre and online. If one week you cannot make it to Navrangpura, you can join the same class online, and recordings are available on our learning portal if you miss a session. Batch timings change through the year, so the best way to get the current schedule is to call or visit.
Our Power BI classes in Ahmedabad are kept to a size where the trainer can actually look at every screen during practice. If you are deciding between a classroom near home and our centre, ask about batch size wherever you go. It makes a real difference.
